in 2010 when I started working on Doomsday, like in the brand new sketching out thoughts phase, I worked in a now-closed boutique shoe store in Park Slope. weekdays would be slow and I had a little sketchbook that I’d bring with me to doodle in when I was standing at the empty counter. I have no idea what happened to it– I’ve moved a million times since then– but I can tell you with certainty that the pose from this last panel was in those pages, and that I drew it at work. in my customer service job. as you do.
anyway happy 15th birthday to dr blackwell crushing cyril’s glasses into his eye. it has been their shared destiny from the start
Well…now. We’ve been down a bit of a road then have we… Cheers, I ain’tn’t ded yet.
Keith, I keep meaning to ask you: do I know you from elsewhere by a different name (or several)? Does it mean anything if I invoke a musk ox with a heart of gold? If not, no harm done.

O snap, you KNOW we’re in finale mode when the comic starts using endgame ideas you’ve had since before it began! Congratulations; that’s a real milestone! Not many webcomic artists get to do that!
Here she is, the lady we have all been waiting for. Cyril, was your plan really just to shoot her before she could look at you? No contingency plan?
Loving the tidbits of deep lore – 15 years is quite the journey to see that destiny finally achieved!
Just caught up! I think I might have read this years ago, before the website change? It would have been a while ago so who knows. (If I did I would have been commenting under fairywaif)
Definitely hits different now though!
