It’s been such a long time since any of them have looked truly happy. I think I started reading the comic just as Abner and Sam got separated and it’s so so nice to see them having both made it through.

Quietly hoping for a Sam/Dootsy reunion. Probably best for that to not occur at the hospital, Abner does not need further medical issues on top of a torso full of holes.
